Soviet Compels Pledge Against Maintaining Yeshivas and Chedorim

Acting on a special government order, the Minsk Soviet exacted signatures from former Hebrew teachers that they will no longer maintain. Yeshivas, institutions of higher learning and Chedorim, where rudimentary instruction in Hebrew and the Talmud is given. Violators of the pledge will be brought to trial, the Minsk Soviet warned all singing the pledge.
