The Jaffa Municipality has decided to light its streets with gas instead of electricity. The decision is part of the Arab boycott against Jews, since the electricity for the municipality is supplied by the Rutenberg Electric works. At a meeting yesterday, the Jaffa Municipal Council, with its Jewish members leaving in protest, decided to cancel its agreement with the Rutenberg Electric Works, headed by Pincus Rutenberg, chairman of the Vaad Leumi. National Council of Palestine Jews.

Fifteen Jews of the Heve Shaanan quarter of Jaffe were summoned to court. The charge against them is possession of two rifles found on them when they were forced to gather in one house to protect themselves during the riots.

Two more residents of Meah Korhaim, suburb of Jerusalem, were arrested charged with firing upon Arabs, bringing the total up to five. This suburb was mercilessly attacked during the riots, the houses of some of those arrested being burned.
