Every Jewish colonist will be forced to join a collective, is the warning issued by N. Diamenstein, leader in the Ozet, Jewish society for settling Jews on the land.
Writing in the Moscow Communist Yiddish daily, “Emes,” Diamenstein declares that henceforth Jewish colonization must be conducted along new idealogical lines, similar to those affecting the non-Jewish peasants. He foresees that all Jewish colonies will soon be converted into collectives. “The funds we receive from the Agrojoint,” he writes, “are not more than a temporary loan which the government will repay.”
