Dr. Joseph Rosen, director of the Agro-Joint, sailed last night on the “Bremen,” on his way back to Russia.

Five Jewish girls of the senior class at Hunter College have been elected to Phi Beta Kappa. The girls thus honored are Etta Abramowitz. Elizabeth Eisenberg, Jeannett Fleischer, Bessie Kozerowitz and Mary Weiss.

Judge Joseph Sabath of the Superior Court of Chicago has received the medal of the Societe Academique d’Histoire International de France in recognition of his achievements as a judge, scholar and humanitarian. Marcellus D. Ritter von Redlich, delegate of the society, made the presentation to Judge Sabath in his chambers.

Dr. Cyrus Adler, chairman of the Jewish Committee on Scouting of the Boy Scouts of America, announced that there will be a meeting of the executive committee of the above organization, November 21 in the Leo Sulzberger Memorial Room of the Federation Building, 71 West 47th Street, at 4.30 P.M.

Israel Chipkin, director of the Jewish Educational Association will be the speaker at the opening forum of the Society for the Advancement of Judaism, 15 West 86th Street, on Sunday evening, November 17 at 8 P. M.

A parlor gathering in the interest of Jewish education was sponsored Monday evening by the Jewish Club at its quarters, 23 West 73rd Street.
