Abandonment of the slogan, “Down with the Balfour Declaration,” which has been the constantly reiterated cry of the Arabs in the last few months, was advocated today by a writer in “Al Jamia Arabia,” the organ of the Moslem Supreme Council.

According to this article, by Hassan Aidk Aldejani, the Arabs need not fear the Balfour Declaration. Instead, they should demand parliamentary government. Aldejani argues that the Balfour Declaration contains nothing unfavorable to the Arabs, who should completely alter their tactics and concentrate on a positive demand for a parliament.

“If we follow these tactics, we will have the sympathy of the British government, the League of Nations, and the English people.” the article asserts.
