Lionel M. Gelber of Toronto, a fourth year university colleeg student at the University of Torouto, has been selected for one of the Rhodes Scholarships, allotted to Ontario, for the year of 1930, the provincial selection committee announced officially.
Lionel Gelber is the son of one of Canada’s leading Zionists, Mr. L. Gelber of Toronto, Mr. Lioncl Gelber is very active among the younger Zionist movements both in Canada and in Toronto. He is vice-president of the Canadian, Young Judaca, and President of the Toronto Young Judaca, Mr. Gelber has been affiliated with the Menorab Society of the University of Toronto, and is one of the present officers of Toronto Haynkah.
