Jews to Blame for Riots, Says Philadelphia Rabbi

Blaming his own race for the Arab apprising in Palestine. Rabbi Max D. Klein, of the Adath Jeshurun Congregation. who has recently returned from the Holy Land, said yesterday in an address at the Y. M. and Y. W. H. A. that “the Zionises had moved unwittingly into such a position as to invite attack and the leaders of the Arabs, realizing their only chance was at hand, struck their blow.”

It was at the Zionise Congress this last Summer at Zurich when a resolution was approved to appoint a committee for the purpose of securing from the British Government the right to pray at the Wailing Wall that the affair was precipitated, Rabbi Klein declined. “It was that which gave the Armb leaders the basis for evolving a religious issue between the Jew and the Arab an isn’t that has no real foundation. The Jew and the Moslem have lived together for centuries in amity and there is no room for hatred between the races.
