Hattie Sloss Compiles New Volume of Victorian Verse

Miss Hattie Hecht Sloss, the well-known Jewish communal worker, has compiled an anthology of Victorian verse entitled, “Certain Poets of Importance” (E. P. Dutton). The anthology constitutes the outstanding verses of all the significant poets who lived during Browning’s lifetime and is assembled for the purpose of enabling the student and the interested reader to compare the style, technique and touch of all the different significant poets of this fruitful poetical period.
