In the city of Kielcze last night, adherents of the ultra-orthodox Agudath Yisrael broke into the library of the Left Poale Zion, took out about 230 books and burned them in an “auto-da-fe” staged on the lawn of a synagogue. The police arrested two of the men who participated in the raid and burning.
