Benjamin Rosen, an employe of the Missionary Society to Spread the Gospel in Tel Aviv, has disappeared after printing blank checks on the so-called First National Bank of Springfield, Mass. He actually cashed one for $75 which he persuaded an aged Jew to endorse. The check has been returned, since there is no such bank. Palestine banks have been warned to watch out for Rosen’s checks.

The aged Jew who endorsed the check has now been committed for complicity in the forgery. A Tel Aviv merchant who cashed the check declared that he had recently been offered a check for $300 on the same bank.
