The plan for the construction of a new abattoir in Tel Aviv has been approved by the government, but pending its completion the butchers must do their slaughtering in Jaffa, district commissioner Campbell told a delegation which submitted to him the resolutions adopted at last week’s protest meeting. The butchers will get police protection.
