Turning insurance salesmen in an attempt to save their synagogue from foreclosure, the officers of the Herzl Congregation here are now selling policies so that they may create a trust fund. The plan was submitted to the congregation by Martin B. Klatzker, son of one of its trustees, who has turned in his personal commissions of $1,700 to the synagogue’s funds. The Herzl Congregation’s debts now amount to $60,000. Policies amounting tp $75,000 have already been sold.
