Of the twenty Arabs charged with looting and attacking Selim Cohen’s house in Safed during the riots, sixteen have been committed for premeditated murder, arson, theft and loot. Four were discharged.
Judge Plunkett in Haifa discharged three Arabs accused of burning the Klinger house in Safed. They were discharged without hearing the defense because expert testimony showed that the witnesses could not have seen the accused setting the fire.
