After staying a month in Poland, Nahum Sokolow, chairman of the Zionist World Executive, has left the country. He is going to Katowicz, where he will remain for a while, and from there to Berlin, thence to London.
At a farewell banquet given Sokolow, at which Bychowski was the toastmaster, the speakers were Deputies Farbstein, Schorr, Rabbi Srebnik and Gruenbaum. Mr. Sokolow himself in his speech expressed the opinion that Polish Jewry is now going through a period of transition and hoped that better times will soon come for it. He also mildly rebuked Polish Zionists for their inner quarrels, declaring that they had weakened the Zionist forces. His call for peace in Polish Zionist ranks was much applauded by all those present at the banquet.
