The Council of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of this city will oppose daylight saving here, it was announced recently by Frank W. Lawson, of the Association Opposed to Daylight Saving. The council represents about 56,000 Jews. Israel S. Gomborov, the president, has been active in opposing daylight saving ordinances for several years. He is a member of the executive committee of the Association Opposed to Daylight Saving.
