All of the Jewish colonies under the village soviets of Zelionopolie and Sladkovne in the New Zlatopol autonomous region, have been converted into one large commune with 9,000 hectares of land. The conversion was carried out by the so-called labor brigade sent by the “Shtern,” Jewish Communist newspaper, into the Jewish colonies of Ukrainia to aid in collectivization.

Since Joseph Stalin explained this week that no Communistic form would be forced upon the villages, this new commune will undoubtedly be dissolved even before it develops its work because not all of the colonists have approved of the communization.
