Investigation has proved the falsity of rumors that pogroms had occurred in the Jewish colonies of Kherson and Krivorog which were said to have prevented many declassed Jews from leaving the small towns for the colonies, even though they were registered for the Spring settling.

The Comzet, the government department for settling the Jews on the land, has decided that the old Jewish colonists will not be obliged to submit their cattle to the collectives. On the other hand, the new Jewish settlers starting this Spring will not get individual cows and horses but will be collectivized from the first day of settling. Special stalls for the collectivized livestock are to be built.
