A request for an international conference to consider means of regulating working hours for Sabbath-observing employes, whose religious scruples make it more difficult for them to obtain work, was made to Albert Thomas, director of the International Labor Office, now visiting here, by Rabbi Greenberg, chairman of the World Union of Shomre Shabbes (Jewish Sabbath Observers’ Union). Mr. Thomas promised to consider the request and expressed his sympathy with the social aims of the Shomre Shabbes.
