A contribution of $7,500 towards the maintenance of two homes for refugee children recently opened here, was announced by Henry Morgenthau, former American minister to Turkey, who arrived here yesterday to attend the celebration of the centenary of Greek independence. Mr. Morgenthau was the guest of honor at a great banquet tendered him by Foreign Minister Mihilakopulo. Mr. Morgenthau plans to accompany Prime Minister Venizilos on a tour through Macedonia and Thrace to inspect refugee settlements.
