Jewish philanthropy received virtually the entire $100,000 estate left by Jay Jacob Mastbaum, who died May 3 at the age of 71. The deceased was an uncle of the late Jules E. Mastbaum, millionaire philanthropist, and was associated with him in the Stanley Company of America.

To the Eagleville Sanatorium for Consumptives was bequeathed ten thousand dollars in memory of the deceased’s parents, Solomon and Minna Mastbaum. The Federation of Jewish charities receives a direct bequest of five thousand dollars and $2,500 in trust, the income from which is to be used to pay the donor’s annual subscription.

The residuary estate, after certain personal bequests, is to go to the Jewish Seaside Home, the Jewish Foster Home, Home for the Aged, Jewish Convalescent Home and Mt. Sinai Hospital.
