Far Rockaway Organizes for Allied Jewish Campaign

Leading Jews of Far Rockaway section have organized for participation in the New York Allied Jewish Campaign, which will begin a drive in all of the five boroughs of the Greater City on May 27.

Dr. Norman Salit was elected chairman of the Far Rockaway section of the campaign. As associate chairmen, the conference elected Leon Lauterstein, John L. Liebowitz and D. S. Gottesman. Benjamin J. Titman was chosen treasurer and Oscar Rosner secretary. The following constitute the executive committee:

As chairman for the Mapleton Park section, Edward J. Silverberg has been elected. The honorary chairmen are Rabbis I. S. Grauber, H. Labowitz, Samuel Lipson, Aaron Lipson and Joseph Rosenberg. J. Israel is treasurer and Israel Hendler, secretary. Irving Sweet is chairman of the executive committee.
