Say N. Y. Jewish Merchants Favor Sunday Closing

The quadrennial conference of the Southern Methodist Church here cheered the report of the Lord’s Day Alliance that 11,000 Jewish merchants in the New York area are cooperating with the Alliance in making Sunday closing universal. The conference also approved the sentiment of Dr. Alexander Lyons of Brooklyn that the Jews accept Sunday as an American day of rest.
