A protest against the suspension of immigration and a demand that the order be reconsidered and that henceforth no restriction on the free immigration of Jews based on political grounds should be made were presented to High Commissioner Chancellor by a delegation of the Jewish National Council consisting of Ben Zvi, Joseph Meyuhas, David Yellin, Myer Dizengoff and Rabbi Ostrowsky.
