A portrait of the late Justice Samuel Kalisch was presented here to the Court of Errors and Appeals simultaneously with the reading to the Court, of a resolution by the New Jersey Bar upon the death of the jurist who served on the State Supreme Court for seventeen years.

The resolution was read by Attorney General Stevens and the portrait was accepted by Governor Larson on behalf of the state. The resolution was drafted by five prominent non-Jewish lawyers.

This was one of three honors lately accorded the memory of the deceased jurist. The graduating class of the New Jersey Law School this week announced the establishment of the Samuel Kalisch Scholarship and a tree in memory of the judge was planted lately at the National Farm School.
