election to the presidency of the Judea Life Insurance Company in no way affects my status in the Zionist movement in America, except that it will give me even greater opportunties to serve Zionism in a voluntary capacity. My decision to affiliate myself with the Judea Life was prompted by a desire to remain entirely unhampered in my approach to the many crucial problems with which Zionism is today confronted.

“It is particularly gratifying that I can come to the thirty-third annual convention of the Zionist Organization of America in such a position as to have a thoroughly impartial perspective on the issues which are to be placed before the delegates for solution. I know that it did not need a public announcement to assure my friends that nothing could interrupt my service to the Zionist cause in whose ranks I have now served for thirty years. But in order to remove any possible misunderstanding, I wish it known that the Zionist Organization has as great a claim on my devotion, loyalty and service as it has always had.”
