With Sir John Chancellor, High Commissioner of Palestine, leaving for London Sunday, it is reported that Hubert Young, now councillor to the High Commissioner of Iraq, will be named chief secretary of the Palestine government to succeed Harry C. Luke, recently appointed lieutenant governor of Malta. If Mr. Young is not named Sir Steuart Davis, treasurer of Palestine, is the most likely nominee for the post.

When the High Commissioner is out of the country the chief secretary is acting High Commissioner, consequently there is great interest here in who will be selected as the new chief secretary.
