Halving the land tithe, the abolition of certain other Turkish taxes, the establishment of an agricultural bank pending which loans should be issued, the introduction of a protective tariff on agricultural products, the facilitating of exports in agricultural produce and the establishment of experimental stations to encourage horticulture are among the recommendations made by the government agricultural committee that has been studying Palestine agricultural conditions, particularly Arab agriculture, according to the Arab paper, “Al Hayat.”
The commission making the study is composed of assistant treasurer Johnson and assistant district commissioner Crosbie.
