The Jews “apparently intended fighting the adverse results of the Shaw Commission report and the expected adverse results of the Simpson inquiry by inciting disturbances as they did last time, and by means of their vast propaganda ascribe it to the Arabs,” says the English edition of the Arab paper, “Falastin,” in referring to High Commissioner Chancellor’s request that the Arab Executive reassure him about the reports from the Colonial Office that new disturbances were planned when he left the country.
The Arab paper charges that “the Colonial Office’s information certainly originated from the Jews in Palestine. The Arabs must see that the Jews are not given a chance to force an outbreak.”
