Complete order has been restored in the town of Kovel, where on Friday Polish rowdies attacked Jews while the latter were bathing in the river. All of the twelve Jews, who were arrested and jailed after having defended themselves and repulsed the attackers, have been freed.
The chief of police of Kovel stated yesterday that the riots of Friday were not of a serious character. Only a group of students who were in Kovel on their vacation, he said, participated in the attacks on the Jews.
