British delay may produce trouble in Palestine, Major Polson Newman writes in the “Observer.” He sees the Zionists not taking a long of view of the situation for fear that Great Britain will put a brake on the development of their plans, causing unfounded suspicion. On the other hand he sees the Arabs encouraged by the temporary stoppage of immigration building castles in the air, which the government’s declaration will shatter.
