Urges Council to Give Prayerbooks to Jewish Blind

A plea to provide the Jewish blind with prayerbooks, has been addressed to the members of the National Council of Jewish Women by Mrs. Oscar Silberschmidt of Cincinnati, national chairman of its Committee on Work for the Blind and Sight Conservation. The prayerbook for the Jewish blind, the first one of its character to be published, has been printed by the National Council of Jewish Women according to the most modern methods of Braille printing.

The women who are associated with Mrs. Silberschmidt on this committee of the National Council of Jewish Women are: Mrs. Jonas Weil, vice-chairman, of Minneapolis; Mrs. John P. Frank of Nashville; Mrs. Daniel H. Kassell of Yonkers; Miss Rebecca Mack of Cincinnati; Mrs. Benj. Tishler of Boston; Mrs. Wm, Weil of Altoona; Mrs. Henry S. Wieder of Philadelphia; and Miss Virginia Schwalb of Cleveland, representative of the National Council of Jewish Juniors.
