The memory of the late Dr. Theodore Herzl, father of political Zionism, will be honored this Wednesday, July 16, the 26th death anniversary of the founder and first leader of the Zionist Organization, at memorial exercises, which will be held in the Public Theatre, it was announced by the Jewish National Fund of America. The memorial meeting was arranged under the auspices of the Fund and the New York Zionist Region.

The occasion will signify the new era of peace in American Zionism as the result of the peace pact concluded at the 33rd annual convention of the Zionist Organization of America held recently in Cleveland, when the rift between the Brandeis-Mack group and the Lipsky Administration, lasting for 9 years, was healed. The new spirit of unity is demonstrated in the list of speakers which includes former political opponents. For the first time in a decade Louis Lipsky, former president of the Zionist Organization, and Jacob De Haas, a leader of the Brandeis-Mack group, will appear on the same platform. Emanuel Neumann, president of the Jewish National Fund of America, will preside. Chaim Greenberg, leader of the Zionist Labor Party, Zeire Zion, will also speak.
