An appeal urging support for the United Yeshivah Chest of Greater New York was issued yesterday by the leaders of the Union of Orthodox Rabbis of the United States and Canada, the supreme body of the Orthodox Rabbinate. The appeal was signed by Rabbi Israel Rosenberg, honorary president, and Rabbi Eleazer Silver of Springfield, Mass., president of the Union of Orthodox Rabbis, who are leaders in the United Yeshivah Chest campaign.
