Cincinnati’s joint $200,000 Jewish Welfare Fund Campaign will be held Thursday, Oct. 9 to Saturday, Oct. 18 with a rally the night of Oct. 8, to open the appeal.

Designation blanks will be used so that contributor may indicate to which participating organizations their gifts should go. The Cincinnati Community Council’s sole function in connection with the drive is to provide a budget committee to determine amounts for which the various agencies participating in the fund should be included. William J. Shroder, council chairman, will appoint a budget committee of three which will examine fund requests and make recommendations to the executive committee.

The local fund will include a sum of $10,000 to be used at the discretion of the executive board for disbursement to itinerant collectors for Palestinian organizations. It is estimated by the Community Council that 1,500 individuals pass through Cincinnati annually making appeals for charities and educational institutions in Palestine in calls on merchants here.
