Palestine Pays Polish Jewess $1,250 for Death of Son

Compensation of $1,250 was today paid to Mrs. Pesse Birnbaum, a Polish Jewess, and a resident of Radom, by the Palestine government for the death of her son, Chaim Opatowski, who was killed in Palestine while defending the Jewish settlement of Mekor Hayim, a suburb of Jerusalem, during the riots of last Summer.
