The unrest in India and other parts of the British Empire makes it temporarily impossible for the British Labor Party to fulfill its pledge to the Jews with regard to the Palestinian Homeland, declared George Dallas, Labor member of Parliament, upon his arrival on Tuesday in New York from England. Mr. Dallas, who is chairman of the Agricultural Committee of the Labor Party, will participate in the Agricultural Conference which will be held on August 17th in Utica, N. Y.
Mr. Dallas praised the Jews for their accomplishments in Palestine and said that the Arabs will finally realize that the Jewish settlement there is to their own benefit as well. World Jewry, said Mr. Dallas, should be patient, since Great Britain is sincere in its determination to carry out the Mandate, and is only waiting for the unrest in the Orient to cease.
