Simon Ascher, head of the knit goods house of Simon Ascher & Co., who died on July 28, left $5,000 for the New York Federation for the Support of Jewish Philantropic Institutions and $3,500 for the Shaarey Tefila Congregation on West Eighty-second Street, it was announced on Tuesday when his will was offered for probate. Altogether Mr. Ascher left an estate estimated at more than $250,000, practically all of which goes to his immediate family.
