All copies of “Jamal El Arabia” which contained the call for a general strike issued by the Arab Executive have been confiscated by the government. The “Palestine Daily Bulletin” and the Hebrew press have been threatened with suspension for reprinting the call.

The Arab Executive had issued a call to all Arabs to observe a general strike, Saturday, Aug. 23, as a means of commemorating the outbreak of last year’s riots. “Jamal El Arabia” has recently been urging all Arabs to demonstrate their unity and desire for liberty and independence by the strike.
