Fred S. Wetzler and Nathaniel Sherman were appointed today by Mayor Thomas A. Tully as members of the Noise Abatement Commission for this city. Included in the personnel of the Commission are the chief of police, the city attorney, the city health officer, and other officials. Dr. Max Mail-house, professor emeritus of neurology at Yale, and one of the country’s leading nerve specialists, is chairman of the commission.
Mr. Wetzler, who is prominent here in the legal profession, is the son-in-law of the late Col. Isaac M. Ullman, who was for many years the leader of Connecticut Jewry. Mr. Sherman is a former city editor of the New Haven “Journal-Courier” and executive secretary to the late Mayor John B. Tower.
