Bentwich Confirms Report of Proposed Legislative Council

Norman Bentwich, the Jewish attorney-general of Palestine, speaking before the Brith Shalom Society which seeks peace between the Jews and the Arabs on the basis of its own program, confirmed the report that the government intends to establish a legislative council in Palestine. He also said that the government is planning to enlarge the jurisdiction of the various Palestinian municipalities.
