Judge Jacob Caplan, for six years judge of the City Court, has been nominated for State Senator on the Republican ticket here. The Ninth District is heavily Republican, and Judge Caplan’s nomination is equivalent to election. Judge Caplan won the nomination after a spirited contest with Howard Blakeslee.
