Failure to collect the crops from the Jewish fields after the harvest is responsible for the difficult situation in the Jewish agricultural districts, particularly in the Kalinindorf region, the Emes, organ of the Moscow Jewish Communists, complains. The failure to collect the crops is due to a lack of organization and discipline as well as to disinterest and criminal negligence, the Emes charges.

While only a few days remains for the Winter seeding the Summer harvest is still on the fields unthreshed and rotting, much to the dissatisfaction of the Ukrainian district land commissariat who has drawn the attention of the Kalinindorf Jewish authorities to the state of affairs. The Emes also complains that there are an insufficient number of workers on the land.
