Ten of the seventeen Moslem Arabs originally charged with premeditated murder in the first degree as a result of the death of Jamal Bakhri, Christian-Arab editor, who died of wounds inflicted in a Moslem-Christian street affray in Haifa over the ownership of an old cemetery, are still under arrest charged with murder without premeditation. The other seven were released yesterday by Examining Magistrate Shams for lack of evidence.
Among the seven freed were Ramsi Omar, secretary of the Young Men’s Moslem Association, and Rashid Ibrahim, director of the Haifa Wakf.
