The legislative assembly for Palestine which the British government will propose in its statement of policy expected at the end of the month will provide for an assembly of 24 nominated members, the Arab papers here report. Of this number 16 will be Moslems, four Jews and four Christians.

The paper also reports that the government is planning a new census in 1932 after which an election will be held, every community receiving a proportionate number of deputies. Reports from Haifa indicate that the Christians are opposed to the above mentioned scheme because they fear they will be outnumbered.
