Justice Brandeis declined to comment on the report that he has been asked to become president of the World Zionist Organization, that report stating that in sources close to Brandeis it was learned that he would not consider taking over the presidency of the Zionist Organization at this time.

The correspondent of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency learns in reliable quarters that aside from any questions of presidency, Justice Brandeis is following the current Zionist developments very closely, especially those dealing with action the United States may be called upon to take regarding the British-Zionist situation. It was also declared that there is no doubt of his readiness, if advisable, to extend such aid as is within his power.

As for his refusal to comment onthe presidency report it is in accordance with his consistent and unvarying policy never to make statements to the press, as he considers it improper for a Supreme Court Justice to do so.
