Dr. Sam Herzikoff, chief surgeon and medical director of the Golden State Hospital, this city, left for Philadelphia, where he will be the recipient of the degree of F. A. C. S. (fellow of the American College of Surgeons) at the annual congress of the American College of Surgeons, which is a recognition of merit in the practice of surgery.
Dr. Herzikoff will also visit Washington, D. C., in connection with his duties as consulting surgeon for the U. S. Department of Health.
