Special performances will be given tonight in the Palestine theatres and motion picture house to increase the Jewish National Fund in connection with the “Jewish National Fund Week” which was proclaimed today.
Many Jewish workers here have offered a day’s earnings as their contributions to the campaign. A number of leading personalities hastened to send in to the headquarters of the Jewish National Fund double, treble and even tenfold donations. The entire Jewish population of a Palestine considers the Jewish National Fund Week as a reply to the limitations made for Jewish land settling in Palestine by the new British White Paper.
