Secretary of State Stimson in a press conference, today, admitted that he is studying the Palestine situation and has been since the Wailing Wall incidents of last year. He declined, however, to make any comment on the situation, saying that he had not yet seen a complete copy of the White Paper.

It was disclosed in authoritative quarters today that the United States participated in a discussion of the Palestine mandate at the Paris peace conference. The Palestine mandate was recited in a convention between the United States and Great Britain, the purpose of which was to give United States citizens the same rights in Palestine as those enjoyed by citizens of any other country, whether or not a member of the League of Nations.
