Monday afternoon at 4 p. m. was set, today, as the time for opening the long-awaited debate on the Palestine question in the House of Commons. The debate may continue until almost midnight. It is not yet known, however, whether Premier MacDonald himself will open the discussion by announcing the government’s supplementary statement on the Passfield White Paper.

It is possible that some other member of the cabinet will inaugurate the discussion.
