Issa Elissa, editor of the Christian Arab newspaper Falastin, withdrew his proposal for an Arab-Jewish press conference to protest against press censorship owing to the practically unanimously opposition of all Arab newspapers which favor a separate Arab meeting instead. It is understood that all the Arab newspapers are supporting the contention of the organ of the Jerusalem Grand Mufti, Aljamea El-Arabia, that “Jews would exploit the proposed joint-meeting for proclaiming the possibility of Arab-Jewish cooperation everywhere.”
The Iraq parliament, after considering the appeal of the chairman of the Palestine Arab Executive, Mussa Kazim Pasha, to assist the Palestine Arabs and help them extricate themselves from their desperate situation, telegraphed today to the London League against modification of the British White Paper on Palestine, according to reports from Bagdad.
